Workshops

Be it for schools, young adults or team-building exercises, we offer many workshops always centered around human connection through drawing, painting and shadow theatre.

Speed-painting

Created by actress & facilitator Agnès Bourgeois, this workshop serves as a fun ice-breaker to any group, learning to create while letting go of the final result and learning the basics of painting with light and shadows.

We divide participants into two groups: the painters and the models. The models sit with a plexiglass screen in front of their faces. The painters each hold a color and a brush, and rotate every 30 seconds in front of the models to add their touch of color to each face. After three full rounds, we print a monotype by placing a sheet of paper onto the plexiglass.

From ages 6 and up, for groups up to 20 people.

Duration: 15 mins to an hour.

Paint a face in 3 easy steps

Here we show an easy method to create beautiful portraits, decomposing the image in 3 parts: the silhouette, the shadows, and the lined details. Each step is printed on a single sheet before moving onto the next, therefore giving an introduction to the screenprinting technique.

The twist is that it's a collaborative piece: both artist and sitter have a stake in the result!

From ages 6 and up, for groups up to 14 people.

Duration: 2 hours.

Storytelling in light & shadows

Created in collaboration with artist Thérèse Partiot, we invite you and your friend to bring a story you've lived together to light and tell it with two voices and four hands. Maybe you got lost in a forest together? Maybe you both went shopping and forgot where you parked your car? All this with the help of paints, cut-outs of acetate, and overhead projectors. As a precaution, remember to bring painting clothes or an apron!

From ages 6 and up, for groups of 16 (8 pairs of 2 people).

Duration: 1 day
